Purple Cauliflower

Look, what I found!
This was quite a surprise, as the plant was left over from last winter to go to seed. It may have gone to seed, I don't know, as I completely forgot about it. This is not a spot where I usually grow vegetables.

So, yesterday I happened to walk past and was startled by this purple beauty!

There is a smaller one. Then two more small ones coming along nicely.
Yum! What a pleasant surprise! :)

  4. What a lovely surprise. Ours are tiny seedlings. We usually grow the white ones. But this year we have a go with the purple ones.

  6. Oh wow what a fantastic garden gift! So gorgeous. So sad - my seedlings that took sooooo long to germinate were rudely eaten by caterpillars! Yours look fantastic.

  8. Mrs Bok - that's a real bummer! Have you tried bird netting over the seedlings? It keeps the white butterfly/cabbage moth away from the seedlings, and therefore the caterpillars.

    Bumble - Yes, isn't it!? :)))
